CyberSeek currently tracks about 514,000 open cybersecurity jobs across the U.S., and the current workforce can only fill roughly three out of every four of them. The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the shortage to keep widening, with information security analyst jobs projected to grow 29% between 2024 and 2034. AI hiring is moving in the same direction: BLS projects 34% growth for data scientists over the same span, and LinkedIn ranked AI Engineer the fastest-growing job title in the country for 2026, with postings up 143% year over year.
That demand shows up close to home too. Cybersecurity analysts in the Las Vegas area earn between about $108,000 and $157,000 a year, according to Robert Half’s 2026 salary data, and local employers like Switch, Zappos, Allegiant Air, and Credit One are actively hiring for the role. Job boards regularly list more than 100 open cybersecurity positions across the Las Vegas metro, ranging from entry-level SOC analyst work to cloud security architecture.
